He was a former reporter of KETR 88.9 FM and had been working with the Herald-Banner for several years. Brad was not only an exceptional reporter but was also a great colleague who was always willing to help others.
Brad Kellar had a unique way of reporting, which made his articles stand out. His writing style was distinctive and amusing, and he had a witty sense of humor that made his colleagues and readers love him. It is still unclear what led to Brad Kellar’s sudden death. However, the Herald-Banner reported that he was found unresponsive at the office, and despite efforts by AMR Hunt County medics and Greenville Fire, he passed away in the hospital. The community was shocked by his sudden demise and mourned the loss of such a talented and kind journalist.
Brad Kellar was a loving husband to Vida Kellar and a devoted father of three sons and one daughter. His passion for journalism was evident in his work, and he was honored with the gold medal for Best Sports Story and the silver medal for Best Feature Story by the Texas Press Association. Brad Kellar will be dearly missed by his colleagues, friends, and family.
