Brad was not only an exceptional reporter but was also a great colleague who was always willing to help others.

However, the Herald-Banner reported that he was found unresponsive at the office, and despite efforts by AMR Hunt County medics and Greenville Fire, he passed away in the hospital. Brad Kellar was a loving husband to Vida Kellar and a devoted father of three sons and one daughter. His passion for journalism was evident in his work, and he was honored with the gold medal for Best Sports Story and the silver medal for Best Feature Story by the Texas Press Association.
